The Independent Regulatory Review Commission website,
www.irrc.state.pa.us, is a great resource to find out more
information on the Commission and makes keeping up with regulations
surprisingly easy.
In addition to multiple search functions, users can subscribe to
receive free e-mail notifications on regulations and other IRRC
happenings.
Individuals can personalize their accounts to their specific wants
and needs. The website also provides information on how interested
parties can comment on a regulation and participate in public
meetings.
IRRC was
established in 1982 to review regulations of all Commonwealth
agencies, with the exception of the Game Commission and the Fish and
Boat Commission.
IRRC examines regulations based on specific criteria mandated within
the Regulatory Review Act, including legislative intent, economic or
fiscal impact, need, and protection of public health, safety and
welfare.
In addition to review, IRRC also holds educational workshops for
agencies, organizations, and members of the regulated public.
