PITTSBURGH, PA – With State Senator Wayne Fontana, Senator Costa announces that The Clemente Collection at Engine House 25 was awarded $750,000 for Museum Infrastructure Renovations. This project involves several areas. The primary components are elevator installation, roof upgrades, IT upgrades, and improvements to the facade.
“I am so proud to live in a community with organizations doing incredible work to improve the lives of our friends and neighbors, and I’m honored to do my part to deliver the resources to keep them going,” said Senator Costa. “Roberto Clemente was not only an excellent athlete, but a world-class human being, always fighting for what’s right. I’m honored to help share his legacy through these RACP dollars.”
“The Clemente Museum is one of our region’s top tourist attractions,” said Senator Fontana. “I was proud to support the Museum’s RACP request which will make their building more accessible to the public and enable them to host more visitors.”
Per the Pennsylvania Office of the Budget, “RACP projects are authorized in the Redevelopment Assistance section of a Capital Budget Itemization Act, have a regional or multi-jurisdictional impact, and generate substantial increases or maintain current levels of employment, tax revenues, or other measures of economic activity. RACP projects are state-funded projects that cannot obtain primary funding under other state programs.”
